A Knot In Thyme
Open 10am-6pm Saturday and from 1pm – 4pm Sunday
Come visit a working horticultural, family farm where 75 year old holly trees abound and display gardens are still glorious. Our Quilted Garden has been a visitor favorite for 2 years and it’s intricate pattern may remind you of Grandma’s patchwork. From there, wind your way through the Courtyard Garden where the little ones will delight in the Miniature Garden and where the Lavender Display Garden is getting off to a good start. This will lead you to our amazing, new Vertical Garden, a one-of-a-kind, original creation designed to inspire space-saving gardening techniques. Hear how it’s made! Add to your visit a tour through the woods and holly to the Perennial Garden aboard our wagon pulled by a majestic team of black Percheron draft horses. You may even hear the strains of our Garden Quartet. Finish off your tour with a stop for refreshments and shopping in our nature-inspired gift shop where you’ll find many products grown and created right on the farm. We have lavender bundles, dried floral wreaths and arrangements, sachets and potpourri, our own soap, as well as a well-chosen variety of lavender products, birds, gourmet treats and home decor. You’ll enjoy observing the construction of holly and lavender wreaths and see the great things we have planned for the holiday season. New this year is a wide selection of healthy veggie starts, chosen especially to grow in your fall and winter garden. Our family and crew will be delighted to see you.
*We are open year around from 10-5 M-TH, and 10-6 F-Sat as well as Sunday 1-4 for the Farm Tour*
We’ll be giving the horses a break after Farm Tour and they will resume tours the Friday after Thanksgiving for the holiday weekends, taking you out to choose your Christmas tree. Check out our website and Vertical Garden blog at www.aknotinthyme.com“
