Penn Cove Shellfish
SATURDAY ONLY – Pre-registration highly recommended to reserve a spot!

This unique Island County farm is the largest and oldest commercial mussel farm in the US. Penn Cove Shellfish produces Penn Cove and Mediterranean mussels. Adults and children 10 and over can take a boat tour of the mussel rafts in Penn Cove to view the mussel farm and the seabirds and seals which also call it home. Tours of the farm involve a boat ride and will be available at 11:00am and 1:00pm.Those who have pre-registered at www.island.wsu.edu or by calling 360-240-5558 will be guaranteed a spot with space available. Those not pre-registered will be taken on a first come first serve basis, if space is available, the day of the event. All visitors must sign a waiver.

Boat Tour Directions: Boats leave from the north side of the Coupeville Wharf building. Take Hwy. 20 to Coupeville. Turn north at the light onto Main St. Follow Main Street to Front St., turn left, at the end is the wharf. Parking is up the hill 2 blocks on the right side of Alexander St.
